Returns by constables to the Clerk of the Peace of places of worship not of the Church of England, giving sect and numbers of adherents. The returns are arranged alphabetically by hundred and alphabetically by place within the hundred.

Administrative History
On 19 June 1829, the House of Commons resolved that a return of the number of places of worship not of the Church of England in each parish and the total number of each sect should be made to the government. The documents here are the returns made to the Clerk of the Peace by constables or (for Morleston and Litchurch Hundred) by the High Constable.
