| Administrative History | By an Act of 1802 (42 Geo III cap lxxiii) for which see Q/AG/1 below, the hours apprentices in mills could be made to work were limited and provision made for them to receive education. Pairs of visitors, one pair to a district, were to be appointed to ensure compliance with the Act.
