Description
Indenture between (1) John Mason of Thrumpton, county of Nottingham, yeoman, (2) John Newton of Ripley, yeoman, and Rebecca his wife, and (3) Marmaduke Carver of Chesterfield, gentleman, concerning 6 closes of land called the Street Leys, lately named as Coate Close (now divided into two parts), the Broad Meadow, Little Close, Fistley Close, the Lane and the Lane Piece, and 2 other closes of land in the liberty of Ripley called Marehay Close and the Mean Close.
Reciting indentures of lease and release dated 3-4 Feb 1742 [1743]
In consideration of £300 paid by Carver to Mason.
Parchment, 2 sheets: 4 applied seals at bottom, with signatures of John Mason, John Newton, Rebecca Newton and Marm: Carver.
