Description
For weeks ending 29 May 1917 to 1 Apr 1924, recording epitome of costs of tonnage of coal by rail. Broken down by costs of coal getting in different sectors of workforce (stallwork, heading, harrying, motor men [from Aug 1921], datalling, deputies, enginemen and firemen, banking, carpenters and smiths, clerks, labourers, waterworks, baths, farm, brickwork/new buildings, and rent and club/compensation), different types of materials consumed, etc (timber, general stores, and horse provender) and for club/N.H. and unemployment insurance, recording weekly total sum, average sum and week by week increase or decrease for each type of cost.
