Title
Follow up report on Britain's Colliery Three Quarter Seam
Date
Aug 1939
Description
Follow up report by FF Ridley of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to an earlier interim report dated May 1939 for the Silkstone Seam of Britain Colliery. This report focuses instead on its Three Quarter Seam there. This report provides greater detail on the quality and distribution of the coal found and analysis of the washing process of this seam's coal that was carried out at the Ormonde Colliery. An attached letter suggests that this report is a more comprehensive report than the previous one. Each subject heading is clearly separated. Diagrams and tables of the data are attached as appendices.
