| Notes | North-Western Rhodesia was a terriotry administered by the British South Africa Company (BSA) from 1891-1899. In 1899 it was merged with Barotseland to form the Barotziland-North-Western Rhodesia protectorate, administed by the BSA. A separate protectorate of North-Eastern Rhodesia was formed in 1900, also administered by the BSA. It was merged with Barotziland-North-Western Rhodesia to form Northern Rhodesia in 1911. Northern Rhodesia gained independence as the Republic of Zambia in 1964. |
