History
The Bakewell Wesleyan Circuit had been in existence since at least 1826. In the 1826-1827 circuit plan there are 20 places where Methodist worship took place in the Bakewell Circuit. By at least 1858 the Wesleyan Circuit comprised chapels at Bakewell, Ashford, Baslow, Beeley, Elton, Foolow, (Great) Longstone, Taddington and Youlgreave. The circuit remained unaltered in its composition until it was amalgamated with the Bradwell Wesleyan Circuit to form the North Derbyshire Mission Circuit in 1905.
Successor: North Derbyshire Methodist Circuit (1905-1944)
Authorised Form of Name
