History
The Ashbourne Wesleyan Methodist Circuit was based on the Church at Ashbourne and included, at various dates, churches at Mayfield, Brailsford, Wardgate, Hulland, Rodsley, Osmaston, Wyaston, Fenny Bentley, Mappleton, Shirley and Parwich.
Following the unification of the Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist Churches in 1932, the Ashbourne Wesleyan Methodist Circuit continued briefly as the Ashbourne Methodist Circuit (the former Primitive circuit continued as the Ashbourne Station Street Circuit). The circuits were amalgamated in 1934 forming the new Ashbourne Methodist Circuit.
