There was a Wesleyan Methodist Church and a Primitive Methodist Church in Castleton. The Wesleyan church was built in 1809 and re-erected in 1898. It was originally in the Bradwell Wesleyan Circuit. ¶ ¶The Primitive Methodist Church was built in 1833 and is believed to have closed in 1934. It had been in the Bradwell Primitive Circuit.
