History
Rockside Hydropathic Establishment was built by Charles Rowland in 1862 and was afterwards enlarged to cater for increased demand. It was located at an altitude of 800 ft above sea level in Wellington St., Matlock Bank. ¶After conversion for educational use in the mid 20th century, the building became redundant and the site was subsequently about 2000 used for housing.
