Biography
Leonard Hawke Robotham (1901-1970), son of Joe and Edith Robotham of Sheffield. Joe (1873-1952) was a Furniture Salesman in Sheffield until 1919 when the family moved to Clowne and Joe opened a draper's business at 38 Mill Street. Joe retired sometime in the early 1930s and Leonard Hawke took over the business.
He was also a subscriber to The Clowne Electric Supply Company Limited from 1924 and the donor reported that Leonard recalled helping his father by taking meter readings around the town.
Leonard married Violet Newman in 1935 and they had one daughter, Patricia, born in 1943.
