Biography
Grand-daughter of Bess of Hardwick, and at one time a possible heir to the English throne.
Childhood spent at Hardwick following death of her mother. She had a legitimate right to the throne after Queen Elizabeth 1st death. Against James 1st wishes she married William Seymour, Lord Beauchamp , who also had claim to the crown and both were imprisoned. An escape to France was commenced but Arbella’s ship was caught. She was imprisoned in the Tower of London until her death.
