History
Trowell Moor Colliery was situated near Statnton Gate. It was recorded as actively being mined for coal between 1881 and 1928. It was owned by Dunn Brothers of Trowell until 1910, when the Cossall Company Limited took it over. In 1945 it was being operated as a pumping facility by the Cossall Company.
