1821: captured and enslaved.
1822: liberated by a British naval patrol and taken to Sierra Leone.
1843: ordained as a minister in the Anglican church.
1864: consecrated Bishop of The Niger.
1891: died, Lagos, then in the British-administered Colony of Lagos, later Nigeria.
