Biography
The Hunloke family purchased an estate at Wingerworth in the early 16th century. This sale catalogue relates to lands ordered to be sold following a Chancery case in which Sir Henry John Joseph Hunloke, an infant, was the plaintiff, and Ann Hunloke, widow, was one of the defendants. Adelaide Augusta Wilhelmina Hunloke (1826-1878) inherited the Hunloke property in 1864. Married to Frederick Charles George Clarence in 1856, she took the surname Hunloke to inherit Wingerworth Hall and estates in North East Derbyshire under the terms of the will of Henry John Joseph Hunloke (died 1856).
