Letter from Wimpey dated 20 Apr 1967 to Derbyshire County Council giving notification that the company has ceased to hold any interest in the land concerned. A photocopy of the same letter is in DCC/LG/F/67/1/1.

Extract from minutes of Wirksworth UDC dated 24 Jul 1967, recording the carrying of a motion to proceed with the case against Wimpey for restoration of the footpath, and to ask Derbyshire County Council to conduct the case on the UDC's behalf.

Letter dated 9 Apr 1969 from Kingsford Dorman & Co of Lincoln's Inn, noting that agreement appears to have been reached with Wimpey.

Memorandum dated 19 Aug 1969 of a meeting at the quarry on 15 Aug 1969 between the UDC with its legal counsel and Wimpey, recording that the company promised to replace the footpath at its own expense (estimated at £10,000 to £20,000).
