Administrative HistoryThis committee began life as the Art and Technical Committee for the Matlock centre. In March 1914, new regulations came into force for the operation of evening schools and the committee's name changed to the Matlock Higher Education Committee. Further changes were made in 1950 and the committee became known as the Evening Institute Committee.
Adult education was re-organised in summer 1966. These records passed to the Divisional Executive when the old committee ceased to exist.
