| Administrative History | This was originally a prochial chapelry of St. Michael's, Derby, but became a separate parish in 1865. At the same time, Boulton ecclesiastical parish was formed out of St Peter's, Derby. Boulton entries, however, are included in the first register of Alvaston and the cures were clearly held jointly. The township of Allenton became a separate ecclesiastical parish from Alvaston in 1939. |
