Report of the Examination of the Body of Mrs. Franklin _ Feby. 24. 1825 _
The viscera of the cavities of the chest and abdomen, were sound with the exception of the Lungs, which adhered to the walls of the Chest, generally on the left side, so as to prevent the motion usually admitted between them, This lung was studded with small tubercles, and towards the upper part these were found in a state nearly of suppuration;
The right lung was healthy in every part, save the upper, in which the same state of disease was manifesting itself. The right lobe of the Liver was a little enlarged, but not diseased, and there was a pint and a half of water in the cavity of the Abdomen, in all probability the effect of debility.
The disease of the lungs was in all probability of long standing, more particularly the adhesions, the results of Inflammation and which had it would seem recurred more than once.

Signed
G. I. Guthrie
