I was much grieved at the melancholy intelligence which your note conveyed – and beg to condole most sincerely with you on the mournful events.
I propose doing myself the pleasure of calling on you tomorrow, in the mean time allow me to thank you for the kind interest you have expressed respecting the expedition.
