| Administrative History | Founded in the late 1990s and based in Etwall, the Society's original purpose was to discuss local history topics, at regular meetings, relating to Etwall, Burnaston and Bearwardcote; as well as to carry out related research projects. Latterly, speakers talk on local and wider historical subjects at the meetings. The number of research projects has dwindled as the age of members increases.
