Administrative HistoryThe Girls' Training Corps was formed during World War II for young women who were not old enough to join the women's services. Members were issued with navy blue uniforms, white shirts and forage caps. "Digging for Victory" was one activity undertaken.
Custodial HistoryThese records were transferred to the Local Studies Library from a local library, and added to the archives collection in December 2019. Further information about their provenance (including which library received them and when they were transferred to the local studies collection) is unknown.
