Articles of agreement between Rev Sir William Nigel Gresley and his fellow trustees, with Charles Wade of Standeford Cottage near Wolverhampton, farmer, John Pairer of Hammerwich, Staffordshire, farmer, John Stanley of Prestwood near Wolverhampton, farmer and Henry Stanley of Yieldfield Hall, Staffordshire, farmer, charity lands known as Stone Yard Place, Broom Hill and Short Heath, to become the absolute estate of the trustees and the Stanleys to give up any claim they may have to the same by reason of John Stanley's original feoffment - land known as Harry Hedges, Butchers Bit, Stanley Yard, an allotment at Ashby and the messuage to become the property of the Stanleys - the Stanleys to pay the trustee £5 10s by way of equitable partition and £225 in discharge of all claims for rent and arrears - trustees to obtain the consent of Chancery to the transaction 19 July 1843 Endorsed as exhibit 'A' in the Chancery case of Attorney General v Gresley and others, 1844
