Title
Lease by Mary Brocksopp of Grasshill, widow, to her son John Brocksopp of Stretton Hall, gentleman, of mines, veins and delphs of coal under closes at Grasshill called Great and Little Crab Tree Close, Caw Briggs and the Homestead, with liberty to erect a fire engine in Caw Briggs or elsewhere for the purpose of unwatering the mines, for 99 years at a peppercorn rent until he begins to work the coal, then £50 per acre for all coal raised.
