Title
Lease by Henry Bourne of Spital, bachelor in physick, William Wragg of Stretton Hall, Humphrey Oldfield of Holmegate, and Thomas Clay the younger of Higham, yeomen, to William Cupit of Stretton Hill and John White of Stretton, colliers, of all coal delphs within a parcel of land (the estate of William Woodyeare, Dame Katherine his wife and Richard Turbutt) at Stretton, near a common at Clay Cross and known as Pit Hill Close, and when the said delphs are worked out, in the other lands of Woodyeare and others lying near Clay Cross, for 3 years at £45 per annum plus £42 per annum for every acre of coal got.
