Copy agreement between William Woodyear and Richard Turbutt, and the Earl of Thanet and Burlington: Woodyear and Turbutt to pay all the charges laid out in sinking a pit at Clay Cross to stop a sough brought through the lords of the manor's land and to pay the lords £2 per annum; Dr Henry Bourne, William Wragg, Thomas Clay and Humphrey Ouldfield to pay £1 3s per annum to make up £3 3s per annum.
