Title
Spurr and Hunter, Barns Colliery, to J G Barnes: we have seen Biggin about the land being given up and find him disposed to agree; he proposes to drain, manure and sow the Tang with oats, giving up for valuation on 25 March next or to give up now and receive valuation in its present state provided we pay the half year's rent; in opening out the piece of coal from Low Bottom, we have met with 3 faults which has stopped our progress; please instruct Ashton to survey the workings as soon as possible.
