Description
To her niece Charlotte Linda Morgan, the photograph of Charlotte's father, Henry; to her niece Florence Smith, eldest daughter of her sister Emily Smith, her jewellery and her household furniture, wearing apparel etc.; to her nephew Gerald Hyde Smith, £300; to her sisters-in-law, Sarah Ann, widow of Edmund Barnes, Marian, wife of Charles Barnes, and Charlotte, wife of Alfred Barnes, £20 each; to her brother Charles £1400 upon trust to unvest the same for the benefit of her brother William and his children during William's life and then to divide the funds among William's children; to her niece Constance Emily Morgan Kirby, daughter of Emily Smith, £1000; to her nephews Edmund Wilson Barnes (son of Edmund) and Arthur Gorell Barnes (son of Alfred), £3500 upon trust to invest the same and pay the interest to Florence Smith for life, after Florence's death, the fund to revert to her residuary estate; all her interest in mines and minerals, being her share in Barnes Mineral Trust, to her nephew Alfred Thomas Holland Barnes (second son of Alfred); to her nephews Charles Edmund Barnes and Alfred Winter Barnes (sons of William), £300 each; as for all her other real estate and the residue of her personal estate, 1/4 to the children of her late brother Harry, 1/4 to her nephew Edmund Wilson Barnes, 1/4 to her brother Charles and 1/4 to her brother Alfred; to each of her executors £100; to her brother Charles and her nephews Arthur Gorell Barnes and Edmund Wilson Barnes to be executors. Will dated 8 September 1883.
Codicil: whereas her brother Charles has lately died, the trust bequest of £1400 to go to her nephews Arthur Gorell Barnes and Edmund Wilson Barnes. (dated 12 August 1886) Proved at Derby.
