Title | Bond in £1000 by Robert Thornley of Chesterfield, gentleman and James Stevenson of Chesterfield, innkeeper, to David Barnes of Brampton, gentleman; whereas all three are by lease (1772) jointly possessed of coal mines at Walton for 21 years at £47 per acre and whereas Barnes is desirous of altering the partnership; upon condition that, after Barnes has fixed the price for alteration by 7 o'clock this evening, Thornley or Stevenson agreeing to buy the same, they enter into a band for payment and indemnify Barnes from all charges under the lease or, if Barnes agrees to buy them out, he shall enter into a band for payment and indemnify them. |
