TitleAgreement between parties as D8042/309; whereas Barnes is the lessee of coal in a close at Barlow in the possession of Robert Stevenson and has sunk a pit in the same and whereas Bokker and others have agreed to work the said pit; Booker and others to get all coal possible from 4 benches at the deep end of the pit, each bench to be 14 yards broad and to work each bench 8 to 8 1/2 yards wide and cut the benches straight up the face of the coal, not less than 80 yards long; to begin at the furthest bench southwards; to get 20 rucks of good coal weekly at 12 corves per ruck and if they fail to do so, to pay Barnes 2s per ruck; Barnes to pay them 20d per ruck plus 1s 6d per yard for every post that is driven through when the coals are got out of the pit.
