Title
Lease by the uncles and guardians of William Duke of Devonshire to John Barnes of Holme yeoman, and John Saven of Heathy Lee, Baslow, coal miner, of a mine, vein or depth of coal lying under the north side of Chatsworth Park, together with a sough brought up by the late Duke and carrying on through the grounds of the Duke of Rutland within Baslow with power to drive the same to the foot of the coal, viz. 30 yards within the park, and to sink one or more pits and erect engines for getting the coal, also power to carry the coal along the way called Marsden's Gate; for 5 years at £40 per annum.
