Joseph Lyne to Edmund Barnes: have written to Messrs Healey regarding investment of £1500; enclosing statement of unsettled accounts due to H Barnes & Co; affairs now reduced to so small a compass, it is desirable to relieve the new concern of trouble and a delicate position; from 1st October I propose to pay Mrs Barnes £250 per quarter; glad to hear of your improving health; Powell able to come to Chesterfield 15-20 October; 'Adam Sedgewick' has arrived.
