Abstract of title of the devisees in trust under the will of Hannah Wright to the Brookfield estate, including Birley farm and Birley closes, Cliffe farm, etc.

Abstracts include:
Brookfield: 1825. A.A. Shuttleworth, Esq’s conveyance to trustees of Jas. Holworthy’s marriage settlement (quoted) and Hannah Wright, of the messuage called Brookfield in Hathersage, a messuage called Stones farm and named closes, together with a pew in Hathersage Church; to be held to the use of Holworthy and Hannah Wright in moieties.
Birley Farm: 1729. Conveyance by John Walhead of Birley in Outseats hamlet and Susannah his wife of John Heald of Offerton, of a messuage in Birley and closes, late the estate of his father Thomas Walhead 1777. Heald’s Settlement and 1806 will of John Heald the younger, leaving Birley farm to his son-in-law John Unwin. Unwin mortgaged the property by various deeds and it was sold by him and the mortgagees to Jas. Holworthy and Hannah Wright in moieties.
Cliff Farm: 1741. Sold by Henry Balguy to John Littlewood and by him to George Boam and left to the Morton family of Cliff House. Sold to Hannah Wright in 1845.
The Hill: Cottages at the Hill acquired from Mark Skelton by Jas Holworthy and Miss Wright.
