DescriptionFor £2,000 paid to Morley and Osborne as trustees under recited deed of 13 July 1836 (see D 779B/T 804) in payment of mortgage dated 1, 2 July 1825 (see D 779B/T 798-9), £313 10s paid to Hare due to him by deeds of 1, 2 July last (sic - see D 779B/T 800) and £86 10s paid to Joseph Botham, the residue of purchase money of £2,400, by Holden, of 1) messuage with cottage, outbuildings, yards, gardens etc containing 2r 36p in Aston, formerly in the occupation of John Prior, after of Thomas Prior and Mary Botham successively and now of Joseph Botham and of Alexander Gaskin, 2 closes of ancient enclosed land adjoining the messuage called the Homestead 4 acres 1r and the Clay Pitts 2 acres 3r and Top Close (formerly Foss Close) 5 acres 3r 21p (referring to inclosure award as in D 779B/T 793), all in township of Aston and formerly in tenure of Mary Botham and William Bancroft successively, now of Joseph Botham 2) messuage with outbuildings now divided into and used as 7 dwellinghouses, croft or homestead, yard, garden etc adjoining in Aston, containing 1 acre, once in tenure of William Brownhill, late of William Astle and now of William Astle, Joseph Thompson, John Porter senior and junior, Edward Saxton, James Fletcher and George Hackett, and Moor Close 3 acres 11p, formerly in tenure of William Jowett, then of William Astle and now of Joseph Botham, and tithes 3) Furrs Close in Aston 2 acres 1r 27p in tenure of Joseph Botham, which was devised to him by his father.
