Description
Reciting that by lease and release dated 27, 28 June 1830 made between 1) Joseph Halladay of Derby bricklayer 2) Saint George Smith of Derby gent. 3) Thomas Halladay of Aston blacksmith, since dead and 4) John Spencer of Derby gent, the premises below were assured to the use of Thomas Halladay since deceased, and by lease and release dated 29, 30 June 1830 made between 1) Thomas Halladay since dead 2) Saint George Smith and 3) John Spencer the premises were mortgaged to Spencer for £100 and interest, and that Spencer, on 14 November 1832, acknowledged that the sums of £80 and £20 mentioned in last deeds of 1832, were the proper monies of the trustees of the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel of Aston upon Trent and he was their trustee, and that party 3. are the Trustees of the Chapel and that Thomas Halladay died intestate leaving John Halladay his son and heir at law and Mary Halladay his widow and witnessing that for £100 paid to 3. by Holden at the request of 1. and 2. and for £100 paid to John Halladay and 10s to Mary Halladay by Holden, Mary Halladay and party 3. released and John Halladay conveyed to Holden, messuage with blacksmith's shop belonging in Aston, late in the occupation of Thomas Halladay, now of John and Mary Halladay, and the pump and well and privy, formerly a coal house, in that part of the yard adjoining the messuage and separated from the yard by a new brick wall
