Description
Reciting that Jacob Botham of Aston farmer deceased in his will dated 2 August 1800 bequeathed his dwelling house at Aston in the possession of his son in law Thomas Witehead with use of draw well in yard adjoining the testator's house, to daughter Frances wife of Thomas Witehead, that Frances died leaving a daughter Mary who married Peter Astle of Chellaston wheelwright by whom she had one son, Thomas (1. above), and witnessing conveyance for £100 of 2 cottages heretofore used as one dwellinghouse and then in possession of Thomas Witehead at Aston, now in possession of Samuel Barton and Ralph Clayton, and use of draw well in yard adjoining the cottages in common with owners and occupiers of other houses in the yard, heretofore belonging to Jacob Botham now to Joseph Botham, all which premises were purchased by Jacob Botham in 1772 from John Wright of Aston and were then in possession of Mary Fewkes.
