Description
The will of George Ridwood of Aston tailor is as follows:
To wife Sarah £50 owing to George from William Butler of Warwick and the goods which belonged to her at their marriage (detailed);
to Thomas Hickinbotham of Shardlow and Thomas Haywood of Weston, messuage with garden etc. Ridwood dwells in, in trust for Sarah for life, then to sell it and divide the proceeds amongst Ridwood's grandchildren, the children of his daughters Ann and Martha;
all other goods to wife for life, then to daughters Mary Plowright and Sarah Clarke;
2 messuages with gardens in possession of John Clarke and John Gill to daughter Sarah Clarke and her husband John for their lives, on their deaths to Mary Plowright for ever;
to Mary Plowright close purchased from John Barton in Aston called Moor Close, wearing apparel and working tools;
residuary legatee and executrix, wife Sarah (31 July 1776).
