DescriptionReciting Holden settlement of 29, 30 September 1770 (see D 779B/T 637) by which a messuage and garden in the village of Aston now in the occupation of John Halladay was inter alia settled to the use of Holden for life with remainder to his eldest son and that Halladay is seised of the messuage formerly divided into 4 dwellings, since used as one and now as two (reciting tenants' names) with garden etc in Aston which is contiguous to Aston Hall and the gardens and pleasure grounds thereof and equivalent in value to Holden's messuage above mentioned, which is detached from the bulk of his settled estates, and that they have agreed to an exchange, but Holden is tenant for life only of his messuage, and agreeing that Holden will persuade his son to acquire the fee simple of the said messuage and to convey it to Halladay, in the meanwhile Halladay may enjoy the Holden messuage, and Halladay will convey his house to Holden, when Holden's is conveyed to him, and in the meanwhile Holden may enjoy it.
