TitleAssignment of term by 1. William North of Morley yeoman to 2. Christopher Rolston son of John Rolston of Wilne husbandman reciting that Henry Sacheverell of Morley esquire and Jane his wife, by indenture dated 12 April 36 Elizabeth I [1594] made between (1) Gabriell Armestronge of Thorpe, county Nottingham, esquire John Tagge of Smalley yeoman and Thomas Gell esquire now deceased and (2) Henry and Jane, covenanted with Armestronge, Tagge and Gell to levy a fine to Henry and Jane of all the lands of Henry Sacheverell in Aston upon Trent inter alia to the use of (2) for 80 years, and in the Easter term after, Henry and Jane levied the fine by the name of the manor of Saddington, 20 messuages, 20 cottages, 1 watermill, 1 windmill, 2 dovehouses, 20 gardens, 20 orchards, 500 acres land, 200 acres meadow, 300 acres pasture, 10 acres wood, £5 rent in Saddington, `Movesley' [Mowsley], Wigston, Westerby, Lawwyghton alias Lawton, and Gumley, county Leicester, and the manors of Morley, Hopwell, Snitterton, Callow and Boulton, and 180 messuages, 100 cottages, 2 watermills, 6 dovehouses, 200 gardens, 200 orchards, 3,000 acres land, 1,000 acres meadow, 2,000 acres pasture, 800 acres wood, 3,000 acres `firre' and heath, £20 rent in Morley, Hopwell, Snitterton, Callow, Boulton, Smalley, Kidsley,Kilburn, Aston upon Trent, Chaddesden, Risley, Alsop in le dale and Quarndon alias Quarne, county Derby, and that by their indenture dated 27 January 37 Elizabeth I [1595] Armestronge and Tagge assigned their title in the premises to William North and witnessing that North assigned his term in messuage and yardland in Aston late in the tenure of Robert Sore, heretofore bargained and sold to John Rolston, father of Christopher, by Henry Sacheverell.
