Title
[Renewal of] Lease for three lives by 1. Reverend William Vyse clerk, M.A., Treasurer of Lichfield Cathedral and prebendary of the prebend of Sawley or Sallow annexed to the Treasureship to 2. Robert Holden of Aston esquire, for a competent sum and for Holden's surrender of former lease made by Reverend William Higgs clerk, deceased, dated 8 March 1732/3, of the prebend of Sallow or Sawley and Wilne, mansion place, lands, tithes, rents etc. (except nomination of the curate, ecclesiastical jurisdiction and fees and perquisites belonging) for the lives of Mary, wife of James Shuttleworth esquire, daughter of Robert Holden, Robert eldest son and heir apparent of Alexander Holden of Newark, county Nottingham esquire, and Richard Cheslyn esquire eldest son and heir apparent of Robert Cheslyn of Langley, county Leicester, esquire

Description
Rent £66 13s 4d, Vyse to nominate curate, and Holden will pay him £40 per annum for maintenance without deduction of taxes, the curate to enjoy the churchyard and a house anciently held by the curate adjoining westward, Holden is to maintain the chancels of the churches, parsonage houses and all other buildings, except the curate's house, and to pay £11 per annum i.e. £2 6s 8d for stallage or stall money, £5 13s 4d for the tenths due to the King, £2 16s 8d to the divinity reader or lecturer at Lichfield Cathedral, and the triennial procurations of 10s once in 3 years, all chargeable upon the prebend; Holden is to deliver to Vyse a terrier within a year. Attornies for livery of seisin, Francis Colleire of Sawley clerk and Joseph Greaves of Ingleby gentleman.
Endorsed with livery of seisin, 16 July 1745.
