Description | That 1. his father promised upon a condition of marriage to make his estate £200 a year at his (father's) death and then to give him the 'Ryalltye' 2. he promised £200 of writer's wife's portion but writer has received only £100 3. father promised the use of £200 for one year and Mother P[arker?], which she did but not father 4. writer desires a brotherly composition 5. he is the elder brother and it is not unknown he has added as much to the estate as the rest 6. he was put barely into the world considering father's estate and put upon a `vast charge' in his ? settling 7. he desires the six yardland, two tenements and whinholme 8. although his father was very tender of his children yet it's hard the younger should go away with the greatest part |
