Counterpart feoffment by 1. Robert Houlden of Aston gentleman and Richard Levis of Beeston, county Nottingham, yeoman to 2. Nicholas Cowlashaw (or Cowlishaw) of Shardlow, parish of Aston, yeoman, for £450, of messuage in Shardlow in which 2 lives, 2 yardlands within fields and liberties of Shardlow and Wilne in 2.'s tenure, flatt of arable used for rye in Shardlow, before in possession of widow Roulston or Robert Roulston and now of 2., 100 sheepgates in commons and commonable places of Wilne and Shardlow belonging to the yardlands in the usual proportion of 50 to a yardland, reserving a row of willows called Beckmore Willowes being northward near to two lands, part of the premises, with free access to the row, and 6 acres inclosed ground called Piggin Flatt formerly used with the premises.
