Bargain and sale by 1. Edward Earl of Dorset, Sir Henry Compton of Brambletye, Sussex, Thomas Stych esquire and Henry Stych gentleman as in D 779B/T 216 to 2. Robert Houlden of Shardlow gentleman, his son and heir apparent Henry, for £300 paid to Dorset and 5s. to Compton, Stych and Stych of the advowsons of the parish churches of Aston and Weston. Robert and Henry Houlden covenanted with the Styches to produce before whomsoever the latter nominated an indenture of 17 May 10 Charles [1634] whereby Anthony Roper sold to the Styches, inter alia, the advowson of Aston.
