Title
Lease by 1. Reverend Charles Holden clerk rector of Aston to 2. James Sutton of Shardlow esquire of long narrow piece of land in Shardlow between the River Trent on the southwardly side and the Trent and Mersey Canal and the turnpike road from Derby to Loughborough on the northwardly side, containing 3r 39p, on which James Sutton and his father Thomas have built a large cottage, another cottage and a salt warehouse, to hold from 6 April last for 21 years at rent of £7 10s

Description
Sutton is to pay taxes on the premises, to maintain them and all barns, stables, outbuildings etc hereafter erected, fences etc and the banks of Trent (fire and other inevitable accident excepted). On Holden's decease, the owner of the premises will make a further lease to Sutton for 21 years from date of Holden's death at rent of £3
