Description
For £5 abatement of rent, of parcel of ground called the Allotment adjoining the Cowholme, including the long, narrow piece of ground lying between the Trent and the turnpike road, in all 3 acres, from 25 March last for the remainder of a term of 21 years granted in a lease dated 26 Jan 1781 and made between (1) Mary Shuttleworth late of Aston widow and William Shuttleworth late of same place esquire, both since deceased, (2) James Soresby, by which (1) demised to (2) several closes, pieces or parcels of meadow and pasture ground in the lordship or liberty of Shardlow containing 26 acres, and called the Holt, the Cowholme and the Allotment adjoining the Cowholme and warehouse or other buildings in the Cowholme, all then in the occupation of Soresby or his undertenant (s), to hold from 25 March then last past for 21 years, at rent of £43, and Charles Holden is now the owner of the premises and Soresby has agreed to surrender the Allotment (as first described above) being part of the demised premises for which Holden has agreed to abate £5 of the £43 rent
