Subjects covered including the difficulties of getting the proposed private Act through Parliament to authorise the sale of the Knypersley estate and attempts to find trustees for Sir Nigel under the terms of the Act. Other items including the following:

Draft notice of sale of tithes and cottage rents due to Sir Nigel Gresley as impropriator of Biddulph, Lord of the Manor of Tunstall and Burslem, Feb 1766;
Letters from Lady Elizabeth Gresley on subjects including Sir Nigel’s will, Feb 1766 and her hope for reconciliation between Revd Dr Thomas Gresley and his brother John, Nov 1766
