Description
This series contains audio recordings of dramatic productions by the Great Hucklow Village Players, dating mainly from the mid-20th century. The collection includes reel-to-reel tapes and digitised copies in CD and digital formats.
The recordings feature performances of plays written by Lawrence du Garde Peach, including How Hucklow Became Great, Summat Akin, The Lopotkin Inheritance, The Village That Would Have a Dragon, A Knife in Her Stocking and Friday’s Dream. The plays cover a range of genres including comedy, historical drama and local storytelling.
