Description
This sub-series contains scripts written by Lawrence du Garde Peach for the BBC radio programme Children’s Hour relating to the history, legends and events associated with British castles and fortified houses. The scripts, mostly created between the 1930s and 1960s, include both typed copies and annotated drafts. Each script focuses on a specific castle such as Nottingham, Peel, Windsor or Rochester, presented as the setting for a short historical drama combining elements of history and folklore.
