| Description | Including a large collection of Derbyshire lead mining account books, maps and papers covering the 18th and early 19th centuries. The majority of these seem to have belonged originally to the Barker family, whose lead business passed to Wyatt, but there is also material deriving from the Heyward family, who acted as Barmasters, and also as mineral agents at Hubberdale and elsewhere, from William Longsdon and from Thomas Birds. A few may have been acquired directly by Wyatt himself for business or antiquarian reasons. |
| Administrative History | Benjamin Bagshawe's father was the executor of a cousin, William Wyatt of Foolow (d. 1858), mineral agent and solicitor, as well as owner of lead mining interests which he left to Bagshawe. |
