Grant as security. Samuel Briddon, innholder, of Alport at the direction of Hannah Moseley, spinster, of Youlgreave and Deborah Coates, spinster, of Youlgreave her niece to Thomas Barker of Bakewell, steward of John Duke of Rutland. Messuage at the Top of the Hill, the Cowdon Barns, an acre in Ruddiard’s close etc, to secure payment of an annuity of £3 to Hannah and of £80 to Deborah on the decease of Hannah.
